Mixed Vegetable Pickle: A Tantalizing Winter Special Recipe

With the onset of winter, we look forward to tasting food that awakens our senses and taste buds. So, how about making a delightful homemade pickle for you and your family? Then we have a perfect recipe for you! Let’s make a mixed vegetable pickle loaded with healthy veggies but minus the extra salt and spices.

Ingredients:

  • Green peas (Matar)

  • Grated cauliflower

  • Grated carrots

  • Mustard seeds (Mohri)

  • Oil

  • Salt to taste

  • Pickle Masala

  • Lemon juice

Procedure:

  1. Heat the oil in a pan and add mustard seeds to it.

  2. Cook until the mustard seeds start popping. Turn off the gas and let the oil cool down.

  3. Mix green peas, grated cauliflower, and grated carrots in a bowl.

  4. Add salt and pickle masala to this mixture and keep it aside.

  5. Add lemon juice to this mixture.

  6. Add the previously heated oil (which must have cooled down by now) to this mixture

  7. And we’re done! Your mixed vegetable pickle is ready.

  8. Store this pickle in an air-tight container for future use.

What’s more interesting is that no preservatives are required, and minimal salt and spices go into the making of this pickle. It can be served to both kids and senior citizens in the family without any hesitation. It can also be offered to people who have been feeling under the weather lately or have fallen sick to arouse their taste buds.

Go ahead and make this pickle at home right away! We would love to hear how it was in the comments below.
